UAC Membership Terms and Conditions

 Welcome to the University of Arabic Calligraphy (UAC) Membership Program. 

By becoming a member, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully to understand your rights, responsibilities, and benefits as a UAC member.

1. Membership Eligibility

  • Membership is open to individuals passionate about Arabic calligraphy and who meet the requirements for their chosen membership level.
  • Applicants must submit accurate information during registration and provide a valid portfolio or work samples if required.


2. Membership Levels

  • UAC offers the following membership levels: Novice, Apprentice, Artisan, Professional, and Honorary.
  • The level granted is based on the applicant’s skills, portfolio, and qualifications, as assessed by the UAC Membership Board.
  • Members may request an upgrade to a higher level upon fulfilling the required criteria.


3. Membership Duration

  • Membership is valid for one calendar year unless otherwise specified.
  • Members will be notified prior to expiration and given the opportunity to renew.
  • Failure to renew will result in the suspension of membership benefits until reactivation.


4. Membership Benefits

Membership benefits vary by level and may include, but are not limited to:

  • Access to workshops, events, and training sessions.
  • Discounts on tools, materials, and courses.
  • Invitations to UAC exhibitions and conferences.
  • Featured opportunities in UAC publications and media.


5. Member Responsibilities

  • Members must uphold the values and traditions of Arabic calligraphy.
  • Members are expected to respect UAC rules and guidelines during events, workshops, and online interactions.
  • Members should avoid any actions that may harm the reputation of UAC or its community.


6. Code of Conduct  

  • Members are required to act professionally and ethically at all times.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate suspension or termination of membership.


7. Membership Card Use

  • Membership cards are personal and non-transferable.
  • Members must present their cards to access certain benefits, workshops, or events.
  • Lost or stolen cards must be reported immediately for replacement.


8. Membership Fees

  • Membership fees are determined by the level and are non-refundable.
  • Payment must be made during registration or renewal through the UAC’s secure payment portal.


9. Termination of Membership  

  • UAC reserves the right to revoke membership in cases of misconduct, breach of terms, or providing false information.
  • Members may cancel their membership at any time by submitting a written request to UAC.


10. Intellectual Property  

  • UAC members must respect intellectual property laws and avoid unauthorized use of materials, tools, or resources provided by UAC.
  • Members may use UAC logos or branding only with prior written permission.


11. Privacy and Data Protection  

  • Personal information provided during registration will be kept confidential and used solely for UAC-related purposes.
  • UAC will not share or sell member data to third parties without consent.


12. Amendments to Terms

  • UAC reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time.
  • Members will be notified of any changes via email or through the UAC website.
