Anatomy of the Letter La (Shape 2)
Full Animation of La
The La (لا) in Shape 2 is a harmonious blend of the Arabic letters Laam (ل) and Alef (ا), brought together in a single elegant form. In Thuluth calligraphy, this shape exemplifies the balance and fluidity that define Arabic script. Composed of four carefully crafted strokes, Shape 2 of the La is notable for its refined structure and intricate head design.
1.First Stroke
Begin with a vertical stroke at an angle of 90°, forming the foundational element of the La.
The stroke measures 8 nuqtas in height and 5 nuqtas in width, creating a strong and balanced start.
2.Second Stroke
Add a shorter vertical stroke at 90°, positioned slightly above the baseline.
This stroke measures 1 nuqta in height, with its base starting 2 nuqtas above the baseline, acting as a connector within the letter.
3.Third Stroke
Continue with another vertical stroke at 90°, extending the La’s height.
The dimensions are 6 nuqtas in height and 4 nuqtas in width, adding prominence and structure to the letter.
4.Fourth Stroke
Conclude with the Alef’s distinctive head, a defining feature of the La’s design.
The head measures 1 1/2 nuqta in height and 1/2 nuqta in width, adding precision and elegance to the letter’s overall composition.
