The Yaa (ي) in Shape 2 is a dynamic and flowing letter that captures the essence of Arabic calligraphy’s elegance. In the Thuluth style, this version of the Yaa blends proportionality with a sense of movement, emphasizing the harmony of its strokes. Composed of three distinct elements, Shape 2 of the Yaa is both striking and graceful.

1.First Stroke

Begin with a diagonal stroke at an angle of 70°, forming the starting curve of the Yaa.

This stroke measures 2 nuqtas in height and 1 nuqta in width, setting the foundation for the letter’s flow.

2.Secend Stroke

Add a bold vertical stroke at an angle of 90°, creating the central structure of the Yaa.

The dimensions are 4 nuqtas in height and 4 nuqtas in width, providing stability and balance.

3.Third Stroke

Conclude with a long, sweeping diagonal stroke at an angle of 70°, giving the Yaa its signature flourish.

This stroke measures 1 nuqta in height and 11 1/2 nuqtas in width, adding dynamic motion and elegance to the letter.
